Bernie High School, a rural school in southeast Missouri, is home to approximately 250 students in grades 7-12. We have an outstanding tradition of high quality academics, offering a rigorous college preparation curriculum as well as challenging applied academics. In addition, we offer a dual-enrollment course for college credit and distance-learning courses through our ITV satellite program and distance-learning courses through MOVIP and Missouri Virtual School via Polycom technology.

The Bernie Mules have a long tradition of successful extra-curricular activities, winning multiple state championships in volleyball and quiz bowl.  Our Future Business Leaders of America and National Beta Club chapters are highly recognized and add to our rich offering of clubs and activities.  We are also the home of a Junior Beta National President.

The past few years have seen many changes that have focused on integration of cutting edge technology into the classroom and the curriculum.  In addition to two state-of-the-art business technology labs, Bernie High School also has a 26-computer media center.  Furthermore, every classroom has at least one Internet accessible computer, several classrooms have their own mini-labs, and well over half of our rooms are equipped with Smartboards.  Integrating technology in the classroom has become a routine and valuable part of all students' learning experience.

Regardless of what Bernie High School students seek to do after graduation, it is the goal of our faculty to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to have a head start.  We pride ourselves on our multiple Distinction in Performance awards and credit our success to a strong community, faculty, and an outstanding student body.  We believe in our students, in their potential, and in their power to shape the future for all of us.
